About Me

I am 22 years old Egyptian filmmaker and media graduate from Cairo
University. I began my career in 2023 with a short film on female
circumcision, winning Best Film at the Aswan Women’s Film Festival. I
worked as a stage photographer at AUC and the Higher Institute of Cinema
and Theatre. My graduation project won the Excellence Award, and I
attended scriptwriting workshops in Romania and another workshop with
Film Independent. Currently, I am working on my first feature film, Ashry,
which explores Nubian customs through a love story.

report was made in BBC
Arabic about the film and
its background, and it was
shown on television.

and workshops of the Passage
Film Festival in Romania. The
exchange taught me a different
way of thinking about films
from young people who love
cinema like me and to know my
cinematic abilities and

aba ean jidin (Like Father, Like Son)

I was a videographer and filmed my graduation
project which is an advertising campaign to
encourage scientific research entitled “Bosla”
consisting of five advertisements, including a song
by Yasmin Ali

I filmed and directed a documentary about my
family and a beautiful Nubian custom, which is
“the day of smell.” Women gather in an
atmosphere of joy to prepare a variety of scents
for the bride, which is a reflection of Nubian
identity.

As an assignment in radio and television
production, the team and I made a film about the
life of the people of Qanater. Stories of our good
people... their lives, their work, their dreams and
ambitions Their work and professions are passed
down through generations... and generations
around the Nile

It was my first experience covering an actor
preparation workshop, such as videography and
editing

On International Women's Day, I and the team
filmed a field report in a spontaneous style,
asking people about their opinions about women.

As an expert on television and radio advertising, I
Directed a PSA (community service
announcement) in one minute about organizing
time between work and social life.

It was my first experience directing and producing
media in the form of radio and was inspired by the
song “If,” about family life and making good
choices

The Pilot episode was an experience as a program
about cultures, and the first episode was about
Nubians.
